Your privacy is important to us. This page explains how BBQHub handles your personal data – transparently, securely, and in accordance with the law.

1. Responsible Entity

We collect only the data necessary to organize BBQ competitions:

  • Registration data from jurors and teams
  • Submitted ratings
  • Participation info for spontaneous events
  • Technical details like IP address and login time

3. Storage & Hosting

The platform runs on secure servers within the EU. Data is transmitted via HTTPS and stored using current security standards.

Log data is automatically deleted after 7 days.

4. Use of Cookies

BBQHub uses only essential session cookies for authentication. No tracking or advertising is performed.

5. Data Disclosure

Your data will not be shared with third parties unless:

  • with your explicit consent
  • if required for event execution
  • if legally obligated

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right at any time to:

  • Access to your stored data
  • Correction of incorrect data
  • Deletion of your data
  • Restriction of processing

We reserve the right to modify this privacy policy. You will be informed of significant changes via the platform.

8. Analytics & Session Recording (Better Stack)

Only with your explicit consent ("Accept all" in the cookie banner) do we use the Better Stack service for error and usage analytics. Without this consent, nothing is loaded or transmitted. You can withdraw your consent at any time with future effect by deleting this website's cookies in your browser.

  • Processor: Better Stack, Inc.; data processed on servers in the EU (eu-central region).
  • Purpose: detection of frontend errors, measurement of load times (Web Vitals) and pseudonymous usage analytics to improve the application.
  • Session recording (replay): recording of page interactions for error diagnosis. Form inputs and text are masked and not transmitted in clear text.
  • Data processed: pseudonymous user identifier (no real names or email addresses), device and browser information, pages visited and actions triggered. No payment or financial data is processed.
  • Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR / Art. 6 revFADP).
  • Retention: according to the retention periods configured in Better Stack; automatic deletion thereafter. Withdrawal is possible at any time.
